Welcome to My First Ride Podcast.
Lately I’ve been talking about cars with air cooled engines. What a deal, not having to mess with coolant, busted radiator hoses and radiators!
The air cooled cars I had in mind to talk about are the Chevy Corvair, the 911 Porsche, the Tucker (not really, but I’ll talk about that on a later episode) and the Volkswagen Beetle.
Today I’m talking about an automotive icon, the Porshce 911 and the end of their air cooled engine.
March 30, 1998, the last 911 air cooled Porsche was delivered to its new owner, a famous comedian and sitcom star. And that owner? Jerry Seinfeld.
This is going to be fun to talk about the background of the air cooled 911 and its final run. I know you’re going to enjoy this story. So, let’s just dive right in and listen to today’s episode.
Information for today’s episode came from the following sites:

I’m constantly searching for people that would enjoy telling the stories of their first rides and how their lives were influenced by them. You know, the story behind the story. And I bet you probably know someone that would be a great guest for My First Ride Podcast, right? Maybe that someone is you. Let me know a little about them and their, story. Same goes for you. What about telling your story?
